‘Mupo’ means ‘All of Creation, including the cosmos’, all things of natural origin, in the Venda language. This name has deep significance in Venda, evoking the memory of the core responsibility of each generation to safeguard nature – Mupo – for the next generation. ‘Dzomo la Mupo’, the vocal and committed group of community members, translates to be the ‘voice of Mupo’.
